Ok, so my car failed the smog test, but it passed the visual and emissions test. It was the readiness test that it failed. It says catalyst not ready, etc... What do you guys think i can do? Can i just download someones completely bone stock tune and upload it or something? I thought i reflashed the thing, but i guess i did it wrong?

Go through the DTC section and make double sure that
when you "tune out" codes, you set them to "Enabled,
No Error Reported" (3, in HPTuners) and -not- "Disabled".
Disabled tests will prevent the higher level Readiness
checks from completing. When everything runs with
No Error you're good.

this whole smog biz is quite funny with these tuners around, haha
viva hp tuners and efi live
life savers for modern hot rodders
the reality is most people don't drive these cars enough to actually warrant emissions levels high enough to hurt anything ...

Maybe this will help. I've highlighted I believe what Jimmyblue is referring. There are quite a few more down the list so this is example only.
