Tuner wants to drill a hole in my TB
Hi there. My car is your normal ms3/fast h/c/i car. We are having problems with the idle when pushing in the clutch. The rpms will bounce between 300 and 1200 until you come to a complete stop for a few seconds, then it will settle at 800-900. If I don't come to a complete stop it will keep doing this indefinitely. My tuner has tried a few things but now he wants to drill a hole in my fast tb because he thinks this will fix the problem. What's your take on this? I think it's going to cause more problems than it will fix.

I understand the part about not getting enough air. But aren't the parameters that you can set to change that in the tune? Also couldn't we get the same results by setting that screw on the tb that changes the rest angle of the blade?
So four new tuner recomendations and one other. lol
Hopefully frost or some of the other knowledgeable tuner guys puts in their two cents.
