Ok cool, that's good to know some rough dates on shipping. I'm waiting with cash in hand like most. Like I said, goodthing I forgot the password to my paypal account almost 2 weeks ago or else I'd be an unhappy LS1edit owner.

Hi,
To give you guys an update we decided to push back our order entry date another week. Our expected ship date is still the same we would just like to avoid being overwhelmed by pre-order chaos. We are just finishing up the production assembly line process so we can produce in bulk. Once this is finalized we will be ready to ship and produce just about any needed quantities. If orders exceed our expectations our only delays will be in the actuall order processing process. We will do everything we can to get product out in a very reasonable time frame.
While we wait I've decided to tweak the scan tool software a little bit more to help put us over the top versus competition. I was playing with it tonight and let me just say its a real treat to use. It doesn't overwhelm you at all either. It's very straight forward and looks great. The data polls VERY fast too. We think you will be pleasently surprised by it.
I'll be adding a screen shots page soon after I finish up a few more tweaks here and there similar to the page we have up for our editor: http://www.hptuners.com/products-edit.html .
Thanks for all of your patience and we appologize for the delays.
Take care!

I'm difinitely not your average customer, but I'm putting together an FC3S RX7 with an LS1 and T56, and one feature of LS1Edit that I absolutely need to have is the ability to turn off the anti-theft starter disable that involves the sending of the code from the key to the ECU, will this be included? Thanks in advance, and I'm really hoping to be a customer.

I like the idea of a competitive upgrade. I think this would be a big incentive to get EDIT users over to your software. I just spent 425 in getting my EDIT working on my 03 truck, had I known about this, I would have waited it out and spent an extra 75 bucks on this. I would have a hard time giving up EDIT considering I've got so much in it. It would also make my ATAP/EFILive useless too. If we were offered a discounted price, I would probably be on the bangwagon in a heartbeat. After this .. I know Carputing won't be getting any more of my money. I too feel that I've been shafted with extra sand and no vasoline by Carputing for upgrades and such.

I would bet it is according to what PCM you have in there. The VIN number tells what engine and everything else about your truck.
Do you still have the original PCM in there or did you swap it out when you put the 5.7 in too?

2003blue5.7, there are various parameter differences between the 5.3 and 5.7 code. I'd recomend you upgrade to a 5.7L PCM/OS before actualy tuning it. That might end up saving you some time and headaches in the future.
Whichever PCM/VIN combo you end up with is what you need to purchase from HP Tuners. Our product is designed for show room vehicles. It gets tricky when you do engine swaps with different PCM's and then mix and match OS and VIN #'s. Our product should pick this up though as long as your VIN # matches the product you purchase.

How can I find out the VIN or even year of the program on my PCM? I bought a PCM from someone on this board and he wasn't sure if it was a 2000 or 2001. It's going in my LS1 1970 Corvette. Would it be easier to just have it flashed with a known good program first to start with a good baseline?

Scooter, you can use a scan tool to read the VIN from the PCM if you already have one. You can email me the VIN and I can tell you what package you'd need from us.. Or you can just have a dealer hook-up reprogram teh PCM for a certain year car. I'm sure we can work something out for your specific case.
Chris, our next CAN interface will be USB. I'm not sure if we will be switching our current design to a USB interface in the future. For now, serial is the only protocol we offer.

although, it would be nice, if somewhere yo ucould get the milage calibrated on a used cluster, as i would like a new gauge cluster to replace mine, with some overlays, but all the 98 clusters i find for sale, have like 85,000+, and i have a low milage car.
