Default Diablosport Predator: Unit 1: error unlock (253)

I just got a diablosport predator tuner and I go to back up the original backup tune and it fails two times and comes up with a message Unit 1: error unlock (253). Does anybody know what the problem is or how to fix this?

Is this an older tool?
What is the revision on the top line of the main menu?

You trying to tune a truck or car?

Any chance you have some aftermarket electronics in the car?
remote start, stereo, etc?

Any aftermarket electronics if hacked into the bus will cause these issues.
Are you sure you removed the aftermarket adapter from behind the stereo from the factory harness?
Thats where most of the problems lie.
