Default Bigstuff3,timing variation

big stuff 3 ls1 pro charger, timing advances up to 45 degrees @3000 rpm even though timing table says 23 deg. Idle table set to 0 to rule out that table,
crank trigger offset set correctly, need help thanks

Do you have a log file?
Did you buy the box new? or used?
24x wheel, or 48x wheel?

Will it still advance even with the timing locked out?
What are your offset settings at?

It almost sounds like some sort of Cam/Crank reference is throwing it off.
Or a software miss match. (like the timing table from the base file is staying)

I have never had one that wouldn't lock timing on me. I'll be honest the only time I have had that kinda issue was when some "back door" programing portions of the back wasn't set up right.

Or when I had a incorrect cam sensor wiring in the harness. (The pins were swapped) But I am pretty sure that made it run like a 6 cly, if I remember correctly.

Is your VE table matching what your putting into it as well?
Is the issue is only with timing?
Software is from the same generation as the box? IE: Older box, older software. (I know they just had an update not to long ago)

when you say the box is configured correctly, have you looked at the hidden dealer config settings, or just the ones that come up normally? There is a hidden dealer menu that uses a quick shortcut to access (and I cannot remember which keys to push at the moment). I mention this because I had a problem with mine on a turbo LS2 and it ended up the dealer had it configured wrong on the hidden menu for an LS engine. If the dealer ones are wrong it can cause a multitude of problems.

Correct,.... hold down the three "magic" keys...make changes... then enter the password.
Then disconnect the box from the harness for about 10min for a full reset.

Plug back in, issues resolved. (well when you have issues like it being configured for a Ford or something)

IVAN send me a PM if you don't already have the password.
