Default Will I need a tune..

I'am doing a few more mods to my car and I was wondering if I will need a tune. Here are the mods I have or will have when they come in..

Mods.. SLP Lid/K&N/Smooth bellows/Free Mods(All)/SLP Y/SLP LM1/Mods that are being added..SS4000 Stall/373 gears. I want to to LT's/ORY also but I was gonna wait till I see how the car runs with the new mods Iam doing and with a tune. But I am doing LT's/ORY tho in the near future. I'am gonna get Frost to tune it because hes only about an hour from me..

Frost is the man. Get the exhaust done before getting it tuned tho.

not familiar with the autos but i think with a stall youll need a tune. Just let them know youre planning on headers in the future its not that big of a difference.

Yes - torque converter lockup behavior will need to be adjusted as well as your air fuel ratio. Also, the converter might fool the PCM into thinking the TPS is bad or the engine is misfiring. So, plan on the tune being a part of your budget from the start.

If you can, try to find a MAF housing that still has the screen before he tunes it. That's one "free mod" that really needs to go away. The cost/benefit of removing the MAF screen is really one that most don't understand (where the costs outweigh the benefits in many opinions).

I just did this last Thursday when I took the TB off to port and polish it more. If I can't find one can the tuner still tune my car with the screen out.

Yeah...can still be tuned. But, the MAF measurements will have a greater variance and fueling will be less consistent. If you add a screen in after it's tuned, fueling will be off by a few tenths.

There's a guy that sells just the screen for like $10. There was something on here a few weeks ago about that. I bought one and added it to my MAF (was missing a screen when I bought the car) with good results.
