Default Help guys.... I screwed up my tune

Hey guys.
I was adjusting shift points last night, and while loading the tune I hit the purge button, which caused my predator to re-boot.
My custom tune from horsepower connection was erased from my handheld, and the factory tune was re-installed.
Looking at the mods in my sig, is my car ok to drive untill I can get another tune?
My only concern is the Hotcam.
I ran the stock tune untill the cam swap, nitrous and all.
So allthough I know I can drive around casually w/o any problems, can I still run this thing WOT and take it to the strip?
The only adjustments I have made is reseting my axel ratio, shift points and idle speed.
fuel and timing are factory stock.
My cam is fairly small, 219/228 .525/.525 w/a 112 lsa.
What do you guys think?

I would not go WOT without knowing what the A/F is.

I could be wrong, but it seems like I remember that M6 tranny guys used to run this cam on the stock tune, with just a small hole drilled in the throttle blade to help it idle.
Anyone?
It will be at least 3 weeks at the earliest that I can get a tune.

I would say you could run it with the stock tune but don't do the nitrous shot, that's just asking for trouble. I ran an MS3, heads, and intake for a few months on a very basic handheld tune that my buddy did for me with no problems other than cam surge. Might need to replace your O2's afterwards though. Your computer will adjust itself a little.

First of all this is the INTERNAL forum, not Tune forum.
Second, if it was OK to run a motor untuned, why do we tune them then?
Where is the logic????
I'm getting real tired after years of seeing these purely STUPID posts.
Yes, my reply is rough, but come on, use your gray matter, will you.

He is not fine. He has 3.42's in a A4 which means that his shifting will be all out of sync. He has a cammed car and nitrous on a already ill shifting car. Stay out of it until it is tuned.

In the time it took you to type the bashing, you could have just given the answer, could you not?

No, the car was shifting fine.
I was lowering the shift points as I have read several posts that your car will be a bit quicker on juice vs n/a because of the large increase in torque.

If you have a stock tune now then the car will not be shifting fine with 3.42 gears as no A4 came with these. It will most likely be shifting early and your speedo will be off.

You missed in my first post where I re-entered the 3.42 gear ratio and the shift points to where they were w/my custom tune. [the one that was dropped]
So the car IS shifting just fine.
What I want to know is how far off my a/f might be, and if The computor will learn by casually driving driving it around, or is it too risky because of a rich or a lean condition.

Ok I was reading as while you were adjusting that the tune was lost.

You'll be fine. I ran a hot cam for two years on a full bolt on car and dogged the **** out of it and saw no ill effects from the stock tune. The hot cam is not so much bigger than stock that it will screw you. You'll be fine till you get a new tune. Just don't spray it.

You know whats weird?
I have been driving around casually for a few days now, and the car seems to be running as good as ever.
Way rich on start up, but after a couple seconds the idle settles down and that pig rich smell is all but gone.
I guess the computor is learning.
