HP Tuners 2bar MAP OS
Guys,
I just installed the 2-bar MAP OS in my PCM and I can't get the car to start. Basically I don't have a MAF at all in the car. Just wondering if there aree setting in HP I need to set in a certain way with this new OS? I turned off the MIL for the MAF codes. Other than that nothing else. Wondering if it's still looking for the MAF?

Well I got the car to start on the weekend. Basically I had to hold my foot to the floor & tried & tried. Then I just turned the key & it fired & ran for about 5mins. It then shut itself off (like turning the key off), didn't feel like a normal stall. Crank it to start, won't start again. Not sure where to look now.

Yea take a look at your Primary VE table. It is maxed out at 462%. The car won't run to well with that table. lol.
This automatically happens when you switch to a different OS. Just copy your VE table from the old MAF tune then paste into this new OS file. Car should start right up. You'll still need to tune the blocks above 105kpa if you wish to run in that region.

Also, your injector data is wrong for 60lbs. injectors. Try to get the correct data put in place before you do any major tuning or the whole calibration will be incorrect.
On another note. With the change in OS a seperate PE table has been added for "boost enrichment". Please make the correct changes in this table before you go above 105kpa.

Another trick to help with the first start after clearing codes...set those 3 DTC's to MIL on first error, and make sure the SES Enable boxes are unchecked.
After you've done that, get the car idling and take a look at your air flow at that moment, and copy that value into the MAF sensor 0 HZ table. When you clear codes on the car (or if it sits in storage without a battery) there is an instant when you first start it, where it tries to look at the MAF sensor before it's failed it. When it does it will see 0 Hz, so if you have 0 Hz set to register the airflow necessary for idle, (or just some number close to that) the car won't stall on the first startup in a situation like that. It will still fail the sensor and run off the VE table, and once it stores the code it won't matter for infinite startups until you reset them again...but it'll keep the car from stalling that 1 time if you care.

Guys, thanks for the help. I had a chance to get at the car this weekend. This is what I found:
Pasted in my VE for a 2002 Camaro. I was able to get the car started. It ran for a a good minute or so, then shut off. It idled beautifully while it ran. Tried to start it again, wouldn't start. I re-wrote the calibration only and the car started right up, ran for a bit again, then shut off, then I couldn't get it started. Re-flashed started again, then shut off after a few mins?? Very strange, wondering if it's the PCM? Lost now again. I've attached the bin & log I have.
The engine had heads, small cam, Vortech SQ (no belt for now, so no boost) 60lb inj, running a fuel rail with a fuel pressure regulator. That's why I have my inj size the way it is in the bin.
Didn't do the 0hz MAF thing, wasn't sure how to do it.

JUst though of something. Could it be VATs. I have it disabled, not exactly sure how it works, but the engine shuts off basically after the same amount of time everytime, and when I touch the gas pedal it doesn't do anything. Is there a bug or something I'm doing wrong? Just a thought.
