writing 6.0 tune on my 5.3 computer (hptuners)
I have a 2003 pcm from a suburban and i want to write the 6.0 express van(4l80e) tune to it. Do i buy rights to the express van tune or too the suburban pcm? i dont want to pay twice on accident.

Pretty sure you gotta buy both if you want to do it the way you're thinking (if that will even work). What may work better and cheaper would be to just manually copy the tables that differ onto your old tune (if that would work).

I would say you have to buy 2 licenses, but im not them so it might be a better question asked on thier forum.
If it was efilive, you would not have the issue at all. We lock to the actual computer so you could use it for ANY possible application and it would not require a different license, even if you put it into 50 different cars.

Yes, for sure, you do.
The only other option is talk to caleditor and see if he can modify your current tune file with the options (DBC, 4l80, etc.) that you want.
Either way, you need to make sure from the start that your PCM is compatible with DBC, as not all of them are.
