Default Won't pass emissions, readiness monitor issues

Having some problems getting my Porsche 944 LS1 swapped car to pass emissions in Denver, Colorado.

Specifically the emissions people aren't happy that my readiness monitors aren't showing as "complete"

The three that aren't are my smog air pump, fuel evap and catalytic convertors.

I've got the smog pump installed as well as catalytic convertors, along with rear O2 sensors. I'm running the Porsche fuel evap stuff, so I'm not sure how to get that monitor to set as "complete".

What do I need to do in HP Tuners to make everything show as "complete" so I can make it past inspection and finally get the car on the rollers to smog test it and get my sticker?

I'm getting really frustrated with this, I know the car will pass if the emissions people would sign off on the computer stuff...

you have to set the dtc to 3- no error reported, and you have to leave the ses checked
then do this for everything related to that system...
so all evaluate codes need this, including ones that weren't checked to begin with.
same thing for catalytic codes, o2 #2 and o2 #3...
your 1st o2 sensor tests pass on their own as ling aa they are functional...but they could temporarily be set just to pass emissions.

Ok, thanks! I went out and did a "drive cycle" last night, I'll check the monitors and if they're still not complete I'll go in with HP Tuners and set all this and try again. With these settings will the monitors go complete right away, or will I have to do several "drive cycles" again?

if all codes have been set to #3 and ses checked on, then it will pass as soon as you turn the key.

All the codes, as in every single one possible? Or just the emissions related ones?

That's CHEATING!
Isn't it GREAT!
You could go in there, tester persons eyes watering from the emissions, and it would tell them to pass it.

Ha! That's exactly what I need it to do! Because of the engine swap I have to take the car to a emissions referee and they're just jacking me around. The car will pass just fine, but they won't run it until I get all the readiness monitors to read "complete".

They could care less how I do it, as long as their computer is happy and I have the smog equipment on the car, which I do...

have you gotten it to pass?

specifically look for the codes related to the readiness tests...then look in the tune under DTCs and MIL enablers and turn them to not reported... its as easy as that.

its not just setting them to "no error reported"...
all of them have to have the MIL/SES enabler turned on as well...
miss one, and it wont pass..

you cannot set the MAF to no error reported... the car just wont run...but that is not emissions related, so it really doesnt matter.

Yup, that's what happened today. Apparently the O2 heater circuit was missed, as the readiness monitor for it wasn't complete and they failed me again.

Once I get past this, then I get to see if the car will even pass smog. They haven't run it on the rollers yet and won't until I get all this crap taken care of.

yeah.. to instantly pass... every single O2 code has to be set to no error reported and the SES enable has to be checked..
thats O2 #1 bank 1&2, O2 #2 bank 1&2, and O2 #3 bank 1&2(even though there is no physical o2 #3 in our cars)

you can see it in the scanner if you did it correctly...
pull up the DTC window, and when you key on, every test should pass automatically and instantly....If it doesnt, then go back in and find the codes you missed and try again.

they will eventually pass just like normal if everything is operating correctly...

I mean the MIL/SES enable can be checked or unchecked. As long as it's set to 'no error reported' they will always complete the readiness tests.

Incorrect, they will not pass unless every test has run without error, or you have to set them all to no error reported and enable the mil/ses....

I have done this many many times....

You must not have done it enough. I have no emission sensors hooked up on my car and all related codes set to no error and unchecked SES enable. I've done it either way. No problems.

Just follow what soundengineer says to do. That's what I had to do to make the monitors read "complete".

So my swap has been certified, now it just has to pass smog. I had it tested and it barely passed CO and NO, but doubled the limits for HC. Looks like the cats I have in the car are too small...

you do realize that efi live or hptuners both can view the readiness tests prior to you having to go to the inspection shop and then realize oh **** i forgot one and now i've failed AGAIN? ?
