Default Startup issue

When I start my car up the AFR meter always shows a lean condition (16.1 - 17.1) for about a minute or so then it works its way to stoich (sort-of). It doesn't matter if the ECT reads 185* or.its a early morning start. If anyone has any suggestions on where and what to look for please chime in.

Yes but I think I narrowed it down to Base Idle Airflow.

I would recommend looking at the Friction Airflow initial, decay, and delay tables if you are having this problem right after startup. As far as I know, the base running airflow table does not take affect until this is completed. Maybe someone with more experience will chime in.

Thank you and I will. One more question, can you "flash" the PCM while the car is running or do you have to cut off the motor? Ima a newb and appreciate all the help/answers I can get.

Only when the car is off and the key is in the on position. After the download I usually turn the key off and leave it off for 15-30 seconds before starting the car.

No. This is a LQ9 (F1A) swap into a 82 Monte Carlo.
