Use http://sloppymechanics.com/wp-conten...-injectors.zip that as a base then segment swap everything but trans and trans diagnostic from 12579405

the sloppy link is a p59 flex 4l80 file but it’s dbc. Load that first then compare the 12579405 (which is a p59/4l80 with dbw) and segment swap everything but the trans and trans diagnostic so your new file is p59 flex/80/dbw. After that you’ll have to upgrade to 3 bar flex (or maybe it stays 3 bar can’t remember.

if im using cable then is there a need to segment swap anything ? Or is that just the base avalanche 8.1 file. Also that 12579405 doesn’t ring a bell as far as the 05 avalanche flex Dbw file that I’ve been looking at.

Hey guys I have a 2003 Silverado 5.3l lm7 DBW aside from running the wires from the fuel composition sensor what operating system or tune would I need to reflash? I live in Minnesota and e85 is dirt cheap would love to be able to run it instead of gas or mix if fuel prices go higher on regular fuel. I have the new hp tuner mpvi 2

I done this and only way to get this to work was scale my injectors 40%smaller. And my sensor which is the part number 13577429 , does not work. Cant get it to read.

as for the tune, I have efi live cos5 and car runs flawlessly. Load in the 02 Tahoe operating system and it is very lean with every possible table copied over to the new operating system.
any tips?

you're only supposed to segment swap the tahoe fuel segment. Not the whole OS
Did you follow the instructions in the thread?

Hello
I am returning with a question about fuel pumps...
My setup is in a 2000 Suburban and I am wondering if the Fuel Pump isn't acting up...
I wonder if the Flex Pump isn't different? There are a choice for 2002 FlexFuel Trucks of Oblong or Square connectors on the pump the last being for Flex Fuel...
Is it possible to adapt the Flex Pump or will a Gas pump be enough for OE type setup?
Thanks for your inputs :-)
And Happy 2020 !

Thanks for the tip, my factory pump might have sucked-up some dirt in the tank and I will be dropping it to clean it and thought that I would see if there were any real differences... the only I can see is the square connector is for FlexFuel models...

Question

Is there any way to have a P01 OS with both a FLEX FUEL option and 3 BAR RTT OS?

When car (2000 Trans Am) was acquired, 2+ years ago, it had a 2002 SILVERADO P01 12212156 > 1261002 3 Bar RTT OS in it
(Turbo car at that point in time, with 6.0, 4L80E setup)

I have unlimited 2002 Silverado credits, FWIW...

Approximately 6 months ago, now running NATURALLY ASPIRATED, I converted car to FLEX FUEL (w/ sensor), using first...
Write Entire: 1261002 > (STOCK RANDOM 2002 Silverado, 6.0, 4L80) 12216125, then...
Write Entire: 12216125 > to an already Flex enabled (2002 Silverado, 6.0, 4l80e) 12216125 > 1252013 2 BAR OS

2 bar, only because it was the easiest to find/use, and was free to use.
Flex Fuel option works great, and reads alcohol % on my HPTuners VCM scanner logs

I've now added a turbo setup again, and at some point, MAY run more than 15# of boost...

Problem is, I cannot find a matching P01 FLEX enabled, OS that will allow me to add the 3 bar RTT option into it.
OR...
Another 12216125 OS that I can hopefully add the flex option, AND then the 3 bar myself

From what I read in this thread, I shouldn't have been really able to Write Entire, two non matching operating systems, should I have? And I can't figure out how TWO 2002 Silverado OS's have two completely different (last 4 digit) ID numbers...6125, and 2156?

If anyone can point me in the general direction, I'd appreciate it.

I "assume" that supposing I made 20# of boost, it would simply fuel at the highest VE on the 2 bar tune?

I have a 3 bar MAP sensor, but 2 bar tune/OS...
MAP reads correctly, and matches boost gauge or vacuum gauge.
Have only made 14-ish pounds of boost so far, but that's what got me thinking....

Dang, thanks for reply, and I figured as much.

Do you know if the fueling would simply do as the timing does (timing ends at 1.20 grams cylinder airmass)...and will just use the last line of the graph (in this case 210kPa), and carry that VE number on?

In other words, (and just an example), say, VE number from 5000 to 8000 RPM is 150% @ 210kPa, would it just stay at 150% up to 315kPa, if that was the final boost level?

Yes, you can max the fuel table and let it ride the lase row of cells.
P59 I believe can do flex/3 bar but no RTT
RTT isn't really all that necessary. Just saves some time between edits/flashes.

Thanks again.
The RTT is no biggie for me, since I've never really had it work correctly for me anyway.
Just wanted the option to be able to tune the fueling, IF I up the boost...I can live with what I have.

Resurrection on this thread.

What's everyone doing for VINs and HPtuners on the Tahoe OS?

Are you able to run your existing licensed VIN on the new OS?
