Default Efi live vs hp tuners - what is the trend these days

Just wondering what everyone is using . Searched, and back in 2012 or older it seemed 50/50.

Look at the supported vehicles lists for both...the decision gets easier depending on what you want to tune the most.

I use and sell both everyday, both are great IMO.

I love my HPTuners, however I wish it had the switch tune feature like EFI live.

Everyone should sell Hpt for the same price. We sell it with free shipping and are available if you have questions.

Yep, no real deals to be had on HPT. I think they have a minimum pricing policy in effect.

I bought HPTuners. The features between them are pretty similar. But the pricing was better on HPT, and I thought the interface was a little easier to learn (I downloaded EFILive and played with it before buying HPT).

Both are powerful enough to do whatever you want.

My only complaint with hptuners right now is the lack of a virtual ve table for the newer vehicles that efilive has.

Gotta remember most Gen4 applications have a custom OS available through HPTuners that gives you a real VE table with configurable axis, as well as a slew of other features.

I personally have both, I use 99.99% of the time HPTuners but keep EFILive for that instance there is a parameter I do not have access to and need to adjust. With that said the guys at HPTuners have been super great with customer support by adding requested tables to the editor.

I have both. Use the EFI live daily and HPT rarely.

Probably shouldn't ask this but I'm not sure if this is what I need ? Someone will beat me too it if it's that good of a deal.

After more research. I now think this is a scanner only. Question is. Can this change my idle speed? Or fan on/ off temp??
