I have a h/c gen 3 6.0 truck engine with the original 78mm gen 3 throttle body, my tuner told me that the gen 3 dbw tb's are hard to tune for idle/ drivability, whereas he says that the gen4 tb with an xlink would make tuning much easier. Any truth to this? Thanks!

I have tuned a lot of them with huge cams, they all idle beautifully.
This is a little video of a cammed 2003 Silverado, cold start. I tuned the idle and part throttle in a couple hours.
If your truck isn't cammed then don't worry about idle tuning.

If i did upgrade to a gen 4 90mm tb. Which one should i use? I currently have a 04 lq4 dbw throttle body, and i will be using the x-link. Does it matter if i use a ls2 or ls3 tb? I heard of people using the gold blade tb, but i dont dnow much about them.
