Default can I change 08 LY6 E38 ecm to older, simpler

I've gone round and round with an E38 on an 08 6.0. I'm told I can't get there from here anyway as in 4l80e isn't gonna work. Sooo, can I use an older ecm or pcm like an E40 or 411? The TB and pedal may be a problem. I assume the 0411 blue/green was used on genIII only. To get a genIII TB, I'd have to change the intake, right now it's an L92 intake. right?
E40? I don't know anything about it. Anyone tried this before?

The simple answer is no you cant run your 08 on a older pcm since they support 24x and yours is a 58x. Is this in a factory truck or an engine swap. I have tuned a good number of newer E38 6.0's and LS3's with 4l80e's in engine swaps. They all ran E38 ecm and T42 tcm's, but none of these were factory vehicles.

That's what all of the ones I tuned were based off also going off memory.

Is it up and running correctly?

Now I'm analyzing what's needed to take this ly6 all the way back to 2002 or beyond. Ls1 pcm, 2500 truck with cable TB code, 4L80e, convert the 58x to 24x, Ls1 TB on L92 intake using CHinese adapter. Eliminate the vvt and put in a LS2 or some cam while I'm in there.
I think I can do this for around $350-400 including a mail order base tune. After all it's not a shiny 2014 Camaro. It's an 83 CJ7 I used to build the HAmmer trails in JV. Lotsa dents and armor. This is it's 10th motor so It'll probly be getting a new one soon enuf.
Unlike street cars, the trail/street Jeeps I'm around rarely get over say... 3500 rpm. that's my idea, anyone see a problem with it? This would probly be better off in conversions.

No one replied because, frankly, it is rather insulting to ask a well respected sponsor and tuner if his work "runs correctly". Clearly LSX Tuning has the answer and shared it with you.

Sorry, but IMHO you are dreaming to make those changes for $400. Even assuming you remove the crank, a switch from 58x to 24x is expensive and should be done by a machine shop. Eliminating VVT requires a slew of parts (lifters? valley cover?) An odd mix of parts might require more than a basic mail order tune and easily exceed your budget.

You asked a question; you got expert advice with a simple solution; I suggest you take it. Else you will likely abandon the project after spending $1000+ and still not have it working.

Not trying to be critical of your ideas, just pointing out that people here are happy to give good advice and point you in the right direction.

I didn't ask that question to LSX, I quoted and asked "Jime"

I spent 30 years designing complex digital circuits, 58x to 24x conversion shouldn't be difficult and you leave the 58x crank in there. I'd be happy to explain it to you. I'm not dreaming, as I said I'm analyzing by doing research.

Vats delete will need a timing cover, cam sensor and cam gear maybe $100, Lawrence at LSX told me that and I hear he's a well respected tuner.

Sir, I would never abandon a project!

And I'm not trying to be critical of your opinions but you don't know me, or my background.
