Trying to turn over 8000 rpm with 0411 ECU
I need to shift right around 8k but I keep tapping the limiter there. In the DFCO settings I have it set to 8300 but it keeps cutting out at 8000. The only other setting that I can find is the drivetrain abuse setting at 8000 but that’s its max setting. Couid that be what’s shutting it down?

Can the driveline abuse setting be turned off, or is it "cut in stone"?

yeah i think it's hard coded. physically the engine will spin higher...at least my 4.8 would ----but with no control of spark or fuel
maybe someone that can program in hex could allow you to offset the tables somehow? ditch the 400rpm column and then you could control to 8400

Its time for a different ECU honestly. You had to scale the tune already for maxing out airflow. Unfortunately cannot scale RPM.

if you just had to keep the stock pcm for trans control or sadism or whatever maybe you could control spark with an msd box like the carb guys use and then do an arduino based aux fuel system with like two 210's in the plenum or intake pipe?
just spitballin.
talk to some tunercats guys? they can do amazing **** us HPT users cant

Why would the rev limit table to go 12800 if you could only rev it to 8k? I wonder if you were MAF only, if you could do it. You can scale the MAF table to whatever % you wanted to and as long as you didnt max the frequency you would be okay cause the MAF table is purely frequency vs airflow.

i'm talking to Lance about his controller. it seems like many of them are expensive. Some don't even do what the factory controller does. There is also the issue of smogging out on a non-OE ECU.
Is it possible that an 8000 rpm limit exists in the gen 3 ECU but not the gen 4 ECU? if that's the case, a gen 4 ECU might be the answer.
