Default Source on E40 ECM P/N - 19210071
Looking for a source on used or refurbed ECM's. Need a E40 for a 2005 LS2 Base with 24x Reluctor Wheel.

I'm not about that life spending $900 on a ECM for a 17 Year old car. Looking for Cost effective.

Good luck on that. Cheapest I saw recently was about $500 a few months ago. What's wrong with the one you have?

You could try Corvettes of Westchester, heard they do refurb E40's, but they are getting rarer.

Bringing the post back from the dead. I have gone on a few wrecking yard sites that pool from yards across the country. Some of these sites produce ECM's from 2005 GM vehcles with 5.3L engines like the Trailblazer, Envoy, Buick Rainer, Pontiac GTO.

Can the ECM's from these applications be programmed to work with my 24x Reluctor LS2? They are all a hell of a lot cheaper.

I can double check later day when I get back to the shop but Im pretty sure I can sell one for $550 shipped flashed to your vin.

I was pretty sure ALL E40 ecms were 24x/1x only and you could reflash the E40 to whatever vehicle/OS you wanted that came with an E40 with a GM MDI.

I dont for sure on E40's, I dont have a database on them like I do E38's. If they are interchangeable I can sell a used one cheaper to the OP vs price I quoted earlier. I'll do some digging and see if I can find anything on E40's.

Rockauto shows to have it in stock for $281 and change plush shipping. You will have to find a way to get it programmed.

I have not been able to confirm 100% what E40's are interchangeable. I can program them on the bench if you need one programmed.

I picked up one from Rock Auto. Now the question is, where does one get it programmed for my Vin?
