Default F-Body Integration Harness

I looking at getting a harness to integrate the Holley Terminator Max system for my 98 Camaro. Does anyone have any experience with Current Performance and/or Jolt Systems wiring harness? Really trying to see which one is the best and is the Jolt worth the extra $800 over the Current Performance harness.

Last year I ordered a harness from Jolt. I spoke with the owner at length and he was very forward that he was the only employee and it would be several months before he could get started on the harness. 6-7 months later he still had not started on the harness. He started doing it full time and was having problems getting parts and finding help in the shop.

I ended up cancelling my order, which he immediately refunded, because I needed to put that money elsewhere in the car.

For what I was doing, the stock PCM would handle it with no problem but I love Holley EFI.

I have nothing bad to say about Jolt at all. He answered every question that I had and I was really impressed how he integrates the Holley harness w/ the needed items from the stock harness, in one harness. I don't believe Current Performance does that IIRC.

A part of me wishes I would have just waited, however long it ended up being, and ran the stock PCM till then.

I haven't talked to Jolt in a long time. I hope that he is doing well.

Thanks for this I’m just I haven’t contacted either I’ve just been doing some research and considering that I might have to rewire the whole car because I left it down at the barn for awhile and mice have gotten into it. So I want to go with the best all around solution.

I'm new to doing any sort of aftermarket EFI, but if one is not planning to use the factory cluster or needs controls for the T56 when using a Terminator X, is there even a need to get a different harness than what comes with the Terminator X system, or to piggyback the factory ECM?

You can re-pin the stock harness to the Holley ECU, I have a friend that did that, but you'll need to reconfigure some things with common splices. Basically compare wiring schematics and make one look like the other. And you'll need to run some all new wiring for things unique to Holley, such as O2 sensor.

The Superseal 1.0 header connectors at the Holley ECM are outrageously expensive, and the terminals are more expensive than the stock Delphi stuff too. And wait until you see the price of a Superseal 1.0 terminal crimper...

Just had a couple conversations with Ryan at Jolt, and he sold me on purchasing a harness. They have been working hard on cutting lead times down, and have someone dedicated to assembling harnesses now. Just an FYI for anyone looking for a nice plug and play solution.

Placed an order late Sept was told 6-8weeks, around thanksgiving it was supposed to ship in a few days, mid January it was supposed to ship in a few days again. Still waiting.

Current experience less than ideal and being told it will go out and not following thru on it is worse than being given an honest reply that it will be months.

Currently not pleased and wouldn't recommend.

I have the Jolt system harness installed in my 2000 Z28. Install was time consuming but not really complicated. You will need to clear the codes on the stock ecu to get the stock gauges to work. I’m running the stock gauges and I have the 6.86” digital dash mounted where the radio was.

I just ended up ordering a harness from Current Performance. Customer service is HUGE to me, and seeing how so many people have a hard time getting ahold of Jolt, and how many people have to wait extra to receive their product, I wasn't about to drop that much money on it. I'm certain the CP harness will do exactly what I wanted anyway, which is run my factory gauge cluster and keep my reverse lockout functional.
