Haltech Elite 2500 remote Tuner NEEDED please help Hello I have a Haltec Elite 2500 that I bought because of the “self tuning” feature.... well we all know that is absolute BS! I ended up finding a tuner that was close to me in the Wpb Florida area who did a really bad job and it ended up washing out my cylinders and I decided to take out the forged 5.3 that had less than 300 miles on it due to scored cylinder walls. Needless to say I am not going anywhere near that guy again and Im having a really hard time trying to find another tuner that does Haltech in the South Florida area so i started looking for someone to tune it remotely for basic start up and driving. It seems like NO ONE tunes on Haltech computers unless theyre imports and even Haltech USA wont recommend anyone.
Im almost at the point of tearing the entire haltech setup out of the car and starting fresh with a Holley or even a GM ecu. Can anyone help or put me in contact with a competent Haltech tuner?

About the only things the Holley has going for it is large community driven support, it's cheap, and has an easy to use interface but everything else is pretty sub par compared to a Haltech. That being said I'm not sure how a tuner actually washed out your cylinder walls when it takes literally 10 seconds to adjust your idle fueling and then start working the rest of the map with a Haltech's wideband feedback.

I dont know how else you explain the cylinder walls looking like this with less than 200 miles on the engine. It fouled out plugs and ran like crap. I ended up finding a tuner in Australia that is going to help me out with the start up tune when I get the 416 back in it. So ill repost in here with the results.

that was all the carbon on the top. Theyre the normal wiseco piston finish not shot peened. Id be on the road a long time ago and it might not have cost me an engine if i had gone with a holley so support means alot especially if you plan to push it. If it ends up running poorly and im not satisfied ill take it out and sell it all, im done playing around and want to enjoy my car
