I dont know which is 'better' but all I can say is I have been 101% satisfied with the support I received from accel, even more considering I wasnt the original purchaser.

I have had no issues at all except an over 7200rpm problem which after trying a few things and DFI sending me another ignition box to try I have no problems to 7700rpm at this point (I dont want to pull this motor any higher under load). I am happy that the new Gen7 software lets me use an aftermarket 0-5v linear wideband also. It does everyhting I want it to do and more so I am happy with it.

If I was in the market to buy a new setup the BS3 certainly would have my attention also but I have been very happy with the customer service I received from Accel/DFI and I am satisfied with the whole system. I would venture to say that no one here has used all three of the latest LS1 plug and play ECU offerings so look at price features and download demo software and see what you like. As far as I now right now DFI is the only one you can download the software to play with though

Well, soon as I get my unit I'll be posting my thoughts on it, having never used Gen7 or FAST it will be hard to make any kind of fair review though.

I think the speed inc guys have used all 3 on their project car. I think they had problems with DFI and FAST and just switched over to BS3... I could be wrong though.

Plus you will never receive the tech support that you can from BS3 compared to the others. John Meaney loves this stuff and is continuing to make the system better every day.
How are you obtaining this tech support? I have tried emailing through their site without any response (3 times) I must be doing something wrong..
I am very confident that I will be going with BS3 but have a couple of questions maybe you can help?

1. Does BS3 (LS1 version) have the ability to trigger and or retard timing with nitrous?

2. How much do they get for their LED wideband display?

Thanks for any help!

The reason the GEN VII works above 8000 on a GEN II engine is because they have a distributor,NOT COILS.GEN VII is good and so is the FAST BUT IMO BSIII BLOWS EVERYTHING ELSE AWAY,its the only one to run....Just call W2W and order it....

Why could I NOT use my stock ecm to control my gauges? All the consist of is the engine coolant, mph, oil pressure, rpm and voltage. It should be very easy to use those. The only thing that I could see having a problem with would be to find a rpm source. That shouldn't be hard and I wouldn't think that a stand alone fuel system would require a mph referance so that leaves the speed sensor open to the stock pcm. The rest can have a sensor or referance from any given point right?

Hell if I can't keep my gauges working a stand alone system definately isn't in my future.

You CAN keep them working, you need to run wires to BS3 and the stock PCM, I have considered making it so I can plug my stock pcm in and make my ODB2 port work so my car ill pass "emissions"

I see most people here are choosing BS3 over the others. But does anyone know if the BS3 is better than the new Fast XFI?

I didn't read a lot of the replies, but BS3 is becoming very popular in the Turbo/Blower Mustang world. A lot of the tuners are starting to switch over to it. You can expect to see quite a few of the NMRA cars running them before season's end. Our tuner, Don Bailey, spoke with John Meaney (SP?) about the differences between the FAST and the BS3. We ended up going with the BS3. Should be a great season for us. We're going to be running the Super Street 10.50 class in the Clash Of The Titans (www.theclashofthetitans.com). Once the chassis gets worked out we're going to throw the 101mm turbo on the car and go run some Outlaw 10.50. Yahoo!

At this time the boost controls could turn on up to 3 stages and retard timing based on time or TPS. The box will not add fuel, the system needs to be shot wet.

I have not tested the new FAST system, how long has it been out?

Will there be a software update in the future to fix this? There should be a fuel delta table to overlay on the normal fuel table for n2o in each stage IMO

Thanks Kurt,
Is there a BS3 support forum anywhere?
Does BS3 seem to be easier to tune with than the Gen7 or Fast?

Not really a support forum anywhere. Your dealer should be able to answer all your questions.
There are quite a few people buying the BS3 now for the LS1. There is no better solution for a coil per cylinder engine. It really shines in hi-power forced induction engines, my personal favorites! I still have not used the software a bunch, but I get everything I need done without trouble. I think you will find it as easy as anything you have ever used.

No update in the near future that I am aware of.
