Default No luck with SD tuning, Help?

I unplugged MAF, set the MAF freq to 0 and got the P0103 code.
Drove the car and Ltrims were all -12.
I then decreased the Main VE Table by 92%. Drove the car again with no change all -12. I again decreased the Main VE Table by 92%. Still -12.
What is up with that?
Do I have to mess with the Secondary VE Table Also?
Does the IFR table have any effect on the VE table?
Thanks, Man

did you turn the MAF code off (if so that IS a problem/no no)?

are you still running in closed loop?

the IFR table will make the injectors flow more or less but it will not DIRECTLY adjust the VE table (ie: adding 5% to the IFR won't add 5% to the VE table).......

if you are in open loop, when you make an adjustment to the VE table you should see a direct adjustment in air/fuel......

No I didn't trun off the MAF code.
I made two different changes to the Main Ve table and did not see any change to my Ltrims, still -12.

98-00 cars default to the secondary VE table during failed maf conditions.

hmmmm......are you still reading just Ltrims (and in closed loop so the computer can adjust) or do you have an air/fuel.......is it possible you didn't drive enough to let the Ltrims adjust?

Slow,
thanks that makes a little sense.
So, do I tune both the Main and secondary table the same, and at the same time?

I make the changes to the secondary, and copy them to the primary when finished.

Read the how to tune sticky and it has some information that is good.
