Default Moving back o2's to front?

My car is throwing codes telling me that both the front o2’s are switching slow. I checked part numbers with autozone and the said both front and back 02’s are the same. I have sims in the back but still have the back sensors. I would like to try switching the back o2’s to the front to see if it gets rid of the code. I just want a little confirmation that they are the same before I switch ( I don’t trust autozone).

Thanks

i had a bad o2 on the pass side and switched it out w/one of my rear ones. haven't had any problems yet. you could also get some corvette rears but they are like $80 each.

The only difference is the wire length

Swap away hope it clears up your problems. I did the back to front swap after tuning 2 yrs ago, no issue since.

I switched the back o2’s to the front and I still have the same code.

To clarify what initially happened to cause my o2 problem: I drove through a big storm with some decent water on the roads. My car went into limp mode and threw a slow switching o2 code on both front sensors. I unplugged the connectors and dried them. Both connectors seem to be fine (no corrosion or visible defects). The code disappeared and then came back. I then switched the back o2’s to the front and the code is not gone.

I don’t want to by new o2’s unless I know they are the problem and not the connector itself. Has anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions?

If the fronts were possibly damaged by water the rears suffered the same fate probably, another thing, your rears might be more succeptible to damage since they are not plugged in. Bite the bullet and get one new o2 sensor, I used bosch from autozone, I work there. If the bank with the new sensor does not act up, then youll have it narrowed down. I hydrolocked my motorlast summer, aside from a new motor I have bought a new TPS sensor, two front o2 sensors, $chaching$!

Thanks for the reply mike

I ordered both new after switching the front and back. We'll see what happens!

What ram air did you have when you hydrolocked your motor?

Do you mean induction system? I took out the two plastic pieces that snap together under the air filter tray, I cut out the bottom of the air tray, k&n filter, mti lid, stock rubber bellow. The water was deep, all I can say is I will never run it in pooled water again, my pocketbook is still hurting from that.
