I don't know about the TPIS TB, but if it has a bump stop can you grind a little away from there so you see 100% tps? When you open the blade all the way, does it look like it is perpendicular to the TB? Like this + or does the blade slant down a little?

Hmm, Maybe bend the gas pedal itself, so it gets rid of the slack? Maybe i should check mine to see if my blade is wot too, I never checked..

Your probably too busy replacing the belt to have time.

Pull the gas pedal full back toward the seat, and see
how much slack you have there. I had about an inch,
and had to cobble up a spacer to get full throttle
opening. That particular cable segment is non-
adjustable (on cruise/TCS cars anyway). I guess
you could bend it if you took it out of the car and
had some leverage, but it seems to be hardened and
stiffer than it looks (I gave it a try in-car and seemed
like the plastic mount was going to give, first, so I
did the spacer instead).

Cant you just adjust the cables that is what i had to do for my NW 90 mm TB. THere are these cylinder looking things inline with the throttle calbe to the TCS/CC and then another that goes to the throttle body. Pushing them in tightens up the slack pulling them apart looses up the cables. I have both of mine pused in and it has worked flawless since i figured out how to do it

I tried that but it was the pedal - TCS pulley run that
was my problem, and there's no adjuster on that
segment. I guess every car has its own special
combination of manufacturing slop.

i canb open it by hand to 100%. it just wont do it with the pedal. jimmy blue can you throw up a picture of this spacer that you made? as far as adjusting the cable i tried and unless i did something wrong there is no way to do it.

I don't have a picture but can describe it.

You need a piece of maybe 1/8" ID vacuum
hose and a flat washer of similar outside
diameter to the hose, and a piece of heat-shrink
tubing that will fit loosely over those (Radio
Shack, Home Depot).

Remove the dash under-panel and check out
how much slack you have with the pedal full
out (top lever against the firewall) and the cable
pulled out snug. Cut a piece of vacuum hose
that's 1/4" or so less than this (just to avoid
bind). Then slit the hose lengthwise so that the
cable can be laid into the center of it.

Cut a slot into the flat washer with a hacksaw
or cutoff wheel, that will let it slip like a C-clip
over the cable. Slip the vacuum hose onto the
cable, then slip on the washer between the hose
and the cable ball end. Now slide the heat shrink
over the ball end and this assembly, and shrink
it up tight with heat gun, lighter or whatever.
Cut off the excess leaving the ball end and
spacer covered.

Badda-bing, no cable slack.
