Default Occasional PO300 code pisses me off.

After my H/C swap I'll occaisionally trip the SES light in light traffic when the engine stumbles a bit after a short blip of the throttle. I'm using HPP3 and an MAFT to tune the car. I was hoping to avoid a complete computer reprogramming and keep what I have. Do I need to drill the TB hole a bit more?

Actually, I don't know. Nick Agostino modified my TB to match my H/C package but I think something else needs to be done.

no dude, its perfectly normal for a bigger cam to trip the P0300 code, especially with the A/C on.

Only way to fix is a program if it really bothers you. It doesnt do any harm though.

It wouldn't bother me if it weren't for the glaring SES light. It's annoying. Eventually it goes away but it always seems to come back in a stop and go traffic situation.

tap the gas at idle occasionally...it helped prevent mine back before I tuned it out.

With the cats removed the numbers wnet way lean. Really never got any KR, I don't have the numbers handy but we've been pretty lucky. I think on average at base Mark's SS ran ever so slightly lean, and the WOT, has been in the acceptable range.

If your IAC count is low, enlarging the TB hole will help. you might turning the TB idle set screw about 1/2 a turn or so (this opens the TB blade just a tiny bit). This often helps bigger cams run smoother.

Try emailing tom@ls1speed.com, he said they were getting LS1 Edit, and might unbundle some of the features. So they might raise your idle for a flat fee.
