New Autotap V2.0 ScreenShot

Re: New Autotap V2.0 ScreenShot
Here is another quick change of the screen to show off some flexibility.
Keep in mind that this AutoTap V2.0 Windows will work with your current Atap hardware also.

Re: New Autotap V2.0 ScreenShot
I would like to add that I am also testing out 2.0 and I had a lot of trouble connecting consistantly with the old windows version (and it was pig slow).
2.0 has worked flawlessly for me so far and seems as fast as the DOS version. I don't have the hardware upgrade yet. But I will...
Overall, it is very nice and makes me stress free because it works like it should.

Re: New Autotap V2.0 ScreenShot
As Eric stated, this version isn't even close to the pervious windows V1.0 version.
Other nice features. Export of log automatically generates a .CSV file so you can just double click on it and it opens in Excel. No more having to do excel imports. Every single log file cell contains a time stamp. Most parameters are exported and converted in both standard and metric versions, etc.
Other VERY nice features:
1) Indicator Break points on gauges. Range and Color selectable as can be seen in the snap shots.
2) Alerts for a parameter item. Define minimum and maximum ranges for alerts and you can change item color or play a .WAV sound file.

Re: New Autotap V2.0 ScreenShot
I am hoping that the new windows version will be a free download to use current owners of Autotap. With the windows version the way it was (not working, slow, many problems, etc) they owe it to us to give us a full working windows version at no cost.

Johnny - I've been runing it on a 233mhz Pentium with 128mb or ram and Win95. I also tested it on an Atlon 1900+ WinXP machine. Both run very nicely. The car - the wait is over, FINALLY got the pistons a few days ago!

Re: New Autotap V2.0 ScreenShot
So how does the scan rate compare with EASE or Eflive. If its only about as fast as the DOS version then its not really an improvement.

Blarg, it should be free for all. I stopped using A-tap so long ago due to its numerous problems I gave up.
Someone put the software up on the net.
E-mail me a link when it is up.
Thanks,
Justin

Re: New Autotap V2.0 ScreenShot
oh man, this is GREAT news! I have to say, paying over 200 bucks for that software (and cable) that i got a couple months ago kinda seemed like a ripoff since the software was so prehistoric.
This seems alot better, and I am very happy to see this.
Anyone know what the sampling increase will be for the old hardware vs the new hardware vs the old software? Now thats the million dollar question!

Let me just say, B&B Electronics listened to everything we had to say and did it right!
You guys will be amazed by the ability to customize almost EVERYTHING (fonts, colors, alerts, zones, etc). A nice speed increase also.
Until the final is released, I thought you guys might want to see a screenshot capture of a log playback. This screen was complete setup by me down to the last color and it only took about 10 minutes or so. VERY NICE and FLEXIBLE.
You guys will LOVE IT!

Re: New Autotap V2.0 ScreenShot
yea, how fast!! there is a recent post that said a 30% increase in speed, well that isn't squat if you ask me, i have atap and am in the process of buying EASE, is there any comparison to the speed of EASE? it doesn't sound like it but if there is let me know and i will save my money.

Re: New Autotap V2.0 ScreenShot
No DOS version anymore.
Speed. I will be doing some comparisons next week and let you guys know. However, I do NOT expect it to be as fast as EFILive. EFILive was made SPECIFICALLY for the LS1/LS6 market and the programmers and program controls ONLY need to focus on the LS1/LS6 used PIDs, read/write protocals, etc.
B&B wanted to give us LS1/LS6 guys the best possible solution to our specific needs. Since AutoTap has to fill a wide market (not just us LS1/LS6 performance guys), they gave us the best solution specifically for us... EFILive.
Trust me, the crew at B&B is in no way done in presenting COMPLETE OBDII solutions! They've gone mad lately...
