Default Cylidner air mass.

I haven't even logged a cylinder air mass of over .84, is this normal? Just a quick simple question. Search wasn't much help.

Thanks,

Mike

Depends on the mods.. my vette w/vararam/catback runs in the .76 area. Camaro with full-boltons/heads/small cam runs in the .89/.90 area.

it's a measure of how much air you can stuff in your cylinders. the more air, the more effective compression you got. .84 is pretty good for a non-heads car

i thought it was the engines use of air, in which case timing or fueling could affect

you ever seen it on a well done NA car or better yet FI car? i've seen as high as 1.12 on NA (!!!) and past 1.4 on a FI car on low boost. that's some nice torque past 6000rpm, making serious hp
