Default Data logging a 98 with EFI Live

I am trying to data log a 98 and keep getting PID not supported or something like that? I am trying the PIDS for auto tune with no luck.

It sounds like you have not actually connected the scan tool to the car itself. When you connect it will automically find the PIDs available for that vehicle. You can override it before you connect, but connecting is much easier.

I have a 98 and doubled clicked on the above PIDS and they indicate supported.

Try this, go to the PID tab, go to the System option and select "All" and make sure to check the "Supported" option located left of of the system. This will show only the supported PIDS for that specific vehicle. That way you know they will work. Another tip; click on the "Description" tab so you can sort them alphabetically.

I noticed there are duplicate PIDs, but are used for different vehicles that are also supported, so maybe you clicked on a PID for another vehicle. Hope this helps.

When you say datalog do you mean with the Flashscan only in the car? No laptop? Have you configured the pids for the flashscan it'self for "black box" logging? I hope this helps. I'm not sure if I understand your question.

No, I can't get it to work with my laptop. I am connected to the car because I can read and write the the pcm with no problem, just cant monitor anything. It will work only if I have some basic PID selected like speed and rpm. I didnt have to time to keep adding one by one to see which PID was causeing the problem, but one or more of the PIDs I listed keep giving me the error message.
