Yep. All the rage down here.....apparently good for another 20rwhp....and it seems that all the mafless cars go faster with better mph than the maffed cars.....not that I would know.....I'm probably the last person in Australia still with a maf!!
For a SD mustang, adding a MAF is the first thing to do, and is HIGHLY reccomended. For the GM, it is a tossup, with good results both ways.

The way I see it is : MAF removed, car response goes up and its up to you to dial in the VE and get everything to where the idle and part throttle is 14.63AFR and WOT is what you want. Along with everything else the way you want.
With the MAF: the car response is a *almost unnoticeable slower response and with the MAF in it is measuring the air flow and determining how the engine should run with how the throttle is being pushed and other tests/inputs
I personally know Nick williams and he is running the MAF (recalibrated) and as inspections I have put mine back in, and WS6FirebirdTA00 and me are going to dial it in(recalibrate it) this coming week.
Just to let you know, my best dyno was with it, as my VE dial in was a little off on my first go. BUT I had only lost 5HP and 9TQ with the MAF gone...which was probably due to my bad AFR across the board
