Yea, auto tune will be really nice and we should be testing it soon I hope.

My reply was to the 1 bar MAF OS, which only adds in the RTT option, it doesnt have anything else. This was made so people can keep the "stock OS" and still use RTT without other changes

I've noticed when using RTT I throw like 10 codes, none are SES related though. Just stuff about losing communication to abs and some others. I can pull them all and list them. Is this normal?

Wait 10 seconds before using RTT when you first turn the key on. The car has a lot of "talking" to do with each module on the car. RTT uses up a lot of bandwidth when it loads up a new table.

c5's like to talk a lot when being first turned on, newer trucks are even worse.

.12 also checks the dtc's on all modules which .10 didn't so you will see more DTC's than before.

Any chance a future custom OS can eliminate the 512 g/sec maf limit?

I think its an internal pcm resolution limit..hex limited....
0xfff = 4095 lb/hr = roughly 512g/sec

that is..if I remember correctly..LOL

For those of us with the regular seriel cable (ie: no EIO) who are logging WBO2 through our EGR position sensors, can the RTT tables be modified to use a custom PID to log and modify AFR in real time?

This is a awesome step forward guys

One more question, has anyone had any problem using a seriel to USB adapter with the RTT?

Thanks,
Kevin

So let me get this straight ...

I can put my car on AutoTune ... and Run RTT at the same time ... and just drive her around and it will tune itself?

Thats awesome.

yup...basically you setup the ve or pe tables the way you want them adjusted & it will automatically adjust them for you.

Sorry, back to just a novel all together. Appearantly RTT utilizing PCM ram has been done before too. Still an exceptional feat on your part, and I like the idea, just not innovate.

I am truely impressed with your accomplishments, extend a genuine congratulations, and am very happy for your customers.
Edit:
In fact, I was. RTT has been a round a while. The only real innovation here (as a consumer not giving a **** how it works) is price reductions.

what you dont understand is the way that HPT is doing it IS VERY INNOVATIVE
to call it a "novel" idea shows your lack of understanding...
RTT has existed for a lot of things...honda has been doing it for quite some time now...but theirs is a pcm that is already built for it from the factory...and runs that way from the factory..its one of teh reasons teh honda civic is so easy to tune..LOL(like that really matters to any of us right now...)
taking a Factory PCM..using its Existing RAM to make a ful blown Emulator(like the moates does but HPT does it on a smaller scale due to limited memory size)and still run the standard or enhanced PCM OS when not using the emulator...and not have to replace your PCM with something different(which is a Pain in the *** on certain vehicles--cough--vette--cough)
and being able to log all the normal stiff that you could do before and be able to make edits on the fly and not skip a beat....hmmm...sound pretty innovative to me...
HPT is not pushing around bidirectional controls like a previous(you know who) company tried and failed with.....

Bottom line is to everyone else in the tuning world besides a "select few" on this board and another, love this and understand it gets the same stuff done. Call it what you want but in the end I can tune my VE, timing and PE on the dyno just as good with spending a hell of a lot less money and staying away from the PITA computer swaps. You guys are just trying to find SOME way to make HPT look bad, these guys are good though keep those kind of posts out of threads like this, lets be professional for once.
