Default truck will not go into PE help

I'm not sure what happened but my truck will not go into PE mode.(according to my wideband o2's. I cant fiqure out whats causing this. It was running fine before I started fine tuning the transmission settings. If anyone could look at my tune, I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jason

How are you verifying that it is not going into PE mode? Are you logging the Commanded AFR or PE Enabled mode? Just by going off of the wideband doesn't mean much wether it is commanding PE mode or not. If someone has not already, I will take a look at it when I get home from work.

I haven't looked at your file but many of the trucks I have dealt with over the years use a PE delay timer. Set that to 0 and you will get instant PE when you floor it.

werd...there are several PE delay cells under the power enrichment tab...just set them all to 0 & use the tps vs. rpm table to set up when you want PE to kick in.

The delay timer is not available yet, to us HPTuner users. Hopefully soon.

Also, do you have a log showing what is going on? You would need to log Commanded AFR and Wideband AFR.

correct...like I said in my post, just set all the delay's to 0 and they will overrule any delay timers that are hidden.

I have a 2000 K2500 Yukon XL with an LQ4. When I first started working with the factory tune, I was shocked to see that it never went into power enrichment. Then, I learned that the delay timers were all set to something rediculous like 60 seconds. When I set them to zero, PE became enabled and I could do PE Tuning. Later, I did a total reflash of my operating system and went to a 2001 or 2002 OS so that I got rid of the back up VE table so that I could set up speed density properly. Then I reflashed again and went to a custom OS so that I could tailor the AFR progressively from stoic to about 13.0:1 at WOT.

The PE delay timer is definately an issue with the trucks.

All my best,

Steve

You have your PE Enable Torque set to 100%. You should log your
Desired Torque value and see whether you ever even get there.
I'd put it lower, a fair bit if it were me.

Thank you so much. that must be what is holding back PE.
The torque enable and hyst do not show up under my PE tab, everything else does. I will be looking into an HPT update asap. I am using 2.0.17.0
I may need to look at my software settings from when I installed the software. I remember there being some choices between "beginer"-"advanced" user etc...
before I started messing w/ my transmission settings, I could see an obvious AFR change on my WB guage. It would jump from 14.7 to 12.8-13.0 whenever I would mat the pedal.

does anyone have any ideas on why, with my software version, some of the PE setting do not appear under the PE tab?

Thanks again
Jason

I'd definitely pick "advanced" (or whatever maximum
information overload is). No point fighting a feature
that's there all the while, but you don't realize it's
there.

update is complete. Now I see the PE torque enable. I removed one of the zeros from that 100% setting.

Thanks for the help.

I think it is the time delay parameter keeping it out of PE. The software I use on trucks has the time delay parameter available for me to edit and evey truck I've seen that won't go into PE at WOT, setting the Time Delay to 0 has fixed it. You will even see that Torque parameter set at 100 on some car calibrations with HPT.
