it would seem to make sense to get a matching maf to the intake.
why not go bigger?

If you can get a deal on a Z06 85mm MAF or a SLP 85mm with an adapter to fit on a F-body, or you can just stick with the stock MAF which is 75mm. I have a friend who still uses his stock MAF in his 408 and is putting down 520rwhp............

it just doesnt make sence to have a 75mm maf and a 90mm TB isnt that losing airflow?

Speed Density. You don't need a MAF for a Speed Density tune.

I've still got my stock MAF and I have the 90/90 on a 408. I've been told to get the Z06 MAF if you want the 85 mm. But I plan to go speed density soon and won't need a maf at all.

Your right, but what are your alternatives???? It's either or. Stick with your stock one or a 85mm. LPE (Lingenfelter) makes a 100mm for $300, but I here it won't fit under a stock hood. No one makes a 90mm MAF or lid.

SD= Speed Density tuning. Where you don't use a MAF and a bit more pricey than a regular tune.............

I used a stock MAF in my 402, then I switched to a SLP 85mm and gained about 7 horsepower. you can find a good used one if you search in the forsale section. That's were I got mine for about $85..............

+1 skip the maf and save your bucks for something useful, like nice rockers or something.. or more gas
