i have heard alot of people losing time with chips, so what performance chip would you recommend for an ls1 that is pretty much stock with a few bolt ons. Also are there any chips that work with nitrous

There is no such thing as a "chip" for our cars. If you want a basic handheld programmer, look into devices like the Hypertech or Diablo Predator. For a full tuning suite, EFILive or HP Tuners. Even though it's a bit more expensive, I would recommend the latter. The advantages far outweigh the higher price tag.

Ive had a few programmers... but I do like the hypertech... personal preference.. and Way better than any chip.. with an auto transmission. changing shift points was pretty sweet.

which hypertech did you use . And yes i no it is not a chip that you put into the car. you can stop giving me ****

Go get a tune. get it dialed in and no programer can compare to the benafits of a full tune. And really its not that much more $. Youre looking at 330-450 for programer and a tune at a shop for n/a or small n20 is only about 4-500 so Really its dumb to get a programmer.imo.

not to be rude, but you come in here asking questions and making statements that make it very obvious you haven't spent any time at all searching or reading the stickies, then you want people to take time out of their day to help you?

The best thing you could do for yourself is spend some time on here reading everything you can get hold of as far as tuning information, car information, etc. That way when you do come to ask this question, instead of taking the first person that answers your question's advice you can make an intelligent decision and/or ask questions relating more to what you really want.

It doesn't ever skip shift from first to fourth. Thats for the manual transmission cars only, I'm not real sure what you're talking about.
