Default SD question

I think I already know the answer to this question, but I wanna ask it for the peace of mind. When driving in SD mode, would a front O2 sensor unpluged affect the running of the car?

Right on!

There are two modes of SD

SD + open loop = no MAF and no O2
SD + closed loop = no MAF but using O2s

Why would anyone use CLSD??? I thought the whole idea of SD was to not use any O2's????

they have nothing to do with one another, one is a airmass model, the other is a final fueling correction, it's like comparing apples to tractors...

CLSD uses the O2 sensors to make minor fueling adjustments with fuel trims. Not sure on its overall popularity but it can be done.

I run MAF + Closed loop anyway
