Default Diablosport predator/ worth it

If there was no chance of getting a laptop and no tune or speed shops within a reasonable distance would the predator do a decent job of tuning?

It depends on what your planning on doing to your car, i have a diable tuner and there very usuer friendly. but to answer your questions i'd say yes its worth it.

For now just bolt ons so I need the normal tune AFR- adj timing- A4 stuff-O2-gears etc. Locally my choices for a dyno tune were Speednation(closed) and ASAP and he wont tune your car unless you buy a Predator anyway. Are you A4 and did you use the custom or go in and change everything to suit your car. I notice you have a cam did you use the Diablo to tune the cam manually?

The Predator will do everything you need.
You'll get lots of control over the A4, plus the ability to make many other changes if desired.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks
Mike

Does the PC link and power supply come with it? Do you suggest a 160 stat before I use it?

I'd forget the thermostat and you ought to take the time
to think through where you are going with the car. The
more you step off from stock the more you are going to
see the limitations of scope that the handhelds have, the
lack of data logging being one biggie. But not everybody
wants to go mod crazy and there was time for my car
where the Predator was enough.

Didn't last. And that's not a good way for $399 to end up.
Just sitting there while the laptop gets all the love.

I read about a guy with a TR 224 cam stock heads and minor bolt ons tune his on the street with a AFR wide band guage. I think it made 390 on the dyno I will try to link it here. The predator has its limits but its still good for moderate boltons. Hell sts sells them with their kit. So if they can tune a turbo car then I guess you can get away with it.

No, it does not come with it, but it is a good idea to have. No need for the t-stat...I am not a fan of 160*'s...maybe try a 180* and set the fans a bit lower.

Thanks

STS....Vortech/Paxton, Whipple, ProCharger, SLP....the Predator is a great and powerful device with the CMR software behind it.

Thanks
