I after 18 months of reading and watching the threads on the LS1 Edit emails I have learned how tuning your WOT fuel throught the use of the MAF is not as good as by other means, I believe, do to timing issues mainly. So how is it that the MAF-T is able or is the MAF-T going to run into the same issues as Edit?

Basically a MAFT tricks the computer, LS1 Edit can do so much more.

Power Enrichment RPM & High Octane Timing Advanced Timing are the ones you want to play around with, mainly on the dyno with wideband o2.

Thanta what I am getting at. I have Edit, but a friend has desided to go with the MAF T instead. I am trying to show him the light and that the MAF T is not going to work as well as doing it the right way.

MAFT only directly controls one thing: Fuel

There are two things that a tuner needs to control independantly to make power: Fuel and TIMING

MAFT is junk in my opinion but It's better than nothing. spend the extra money and get LS1-edit! You will not regret it!

I just want to know if the MAF-T has the same negative effect on timing as when you adjust your MAF through edit for more fuel? Sorry Brian if you thought I was chatting about you, but it's not you.

By the way though, the car sounds bad a$$!

I picked up 13 HP on a dyno once using the so-call MAFT and was worth a tenth at the track. Cheers.
