Swapped out my TA hatch for a Formy/Base hatch. Why would i do such a thing you say? Because i like the lower profile look. Especially the side profile. The hood and the spoiler make for a very sleek and even profile from the side.

Door panel looks good. Where do they normally crack? Mine are good so far......(knock on wood)

They usually crack on the upper rear of the door panel:

DirtyBird,

The low rise looks good. Nice looking car!

Did you have any problems with the alignment of the hatch? Somehow my hatch is out of alignment, driver's side is closer to taillights than on the passenger side.

On both of mine after I swapped the hatch out I drove to a body shop and in less than an hour they had it lined up perfectly. I think I paid 125 this last time and the fitment is 100% perfect on both and well worth not having the headache of appeasing my OCD lol.

Yeah I installed mine with a buddy, I think the downfall was keeping the struts on during the alignment.

yesterday I got my uncracked dash pad in the mail, installed it to replace the broken cracked one, started the car, voltmeter went far left into the red, had been going left for a while, killed the motor, then it wouldn't start....guess it's time to replace the alternator

That there looks a lot like my car. Schmecksy. I've thought about going up to the ws6 hatch but haven't pull the trigger on the project yet. I find water pools up on the base/formula rear hatch. Mine has some etching from it and I haven't successfully buffed it out yet

I installed a new shift **** today. I had the ws6store adapter and the boot(03 Impala) in my Z28 with a Hurst T-handle. Wanted to go a different route with the T/A so I got this 2" Pontiac ball at spring carlisle today.

Im really liking the boot on that shifter. Looks like I need to find one now to dress up mine a little bit. I got everything from ws6 a few years back.

The 2000-2005 Impala automatic shift boot fits perfect. I think I paid like $5 for mine at the junkyard. You just pull the upper console off, take the gear selector assembly off, pop the boot through the hole, then put the gear selector thing back on and the console back together. Takes about 15min.

was a busy weekend. Swapped out the OEM rear shocks with some Bilstiens (thanks to 01ssreda4 for a heck of a deal on some used ones), replaced the bump stops. made my own 1/2" spacer plates out of aluminum, then spruced up the wheel wells with some Dupli-color rubberized undercoating. Tonight, hopefully get my aluminum hub rings to replace the crappy plastic ones and get the rear tires on and enjoy.
