Pulled the trans and found out it is a service replacement unit and the converter is a reman as well. Not to mention only 6 of the 8 bellhousing bolts were installed, go go GM techs! Installed the new Yank SS4000 converter and SFI flexplate. Will reinstall everything tomorrow and the top bellhousing bolt likely won't be going back in

tried to fix my passenger side window with autotrix fit kit. After 6 hours and all wires and loom looking original I tested it and window worked great...once. guess I need a new window motor.
1998 T/A Loudmouth cat back, all UMI suspension, everything replaced( pan hard rod, frame connectors, lower control arms, front and rear over sized sway bars, k member, torque arm), smooth bellows, under drive crank pulley, overdrive alt pulley, computer upgrades, ls2 heads ported and polished, short throw shifter, c7 corvette airbox by volant, egr delete, Rear end girdle, dyno'd at 410 RWHP. Enough to scare this 52 year old. By the way she only has 12,645 miles on her!

Only 12k miles and it needs a new window motor? Do you sit in the driveway all day and play with the window up/down buttons?!

Installed Pacesetter LT's and ORY this past weekend. Took me and two buddies about 8 hours with a lift. Sounds great minus some rattles from the ORY hitting the floorboard.

Next up is a frost tune and I'll be set!

No, motor was slow from first day I purchased it. Finally died. Usually windows are always left down as it sits in an air conditioned garage...heated in winter.

Reinstalled my tranny after putting a new converter in it. Noticed I left the dipstick out. Removed the tranny again. Fiddled with the dipstick and couldn't get it to sit right so tried the tip of pulling the grommet out and putting that on the tube and tried to install the tranny again. Tube in, grommet wouldn't go in. So went to remove the tranny AGAIN and one of the bellhousing bolts stripped out Went to get a set of bolt extractors and had a hell of a time getting the bolt out. But when I did, this is what it looked like.

It was a bit frightening to see how close this was to shearing off in the block. So I ditched all the stock bolts and went to find some replacements. Had to visit 6 different places just to get 8 flanged M10x1.50 40mm bolts. But new bolts are likely going to be my new insurance policy on everything I swap from here on out. Once I had the new bolts in hand I finally coaxed the dipstick in properly and got the tranny bolted back up. Now I have a 1/4 inch spacing on the converter and need to find some shims. I am doubtful anywhere local is going to have anything thick enough to work.
