I'm planning on installing a set of headers I picked up. Because I HATE stainless steel fasteners, I picked up some Dorman double ended studs, class 10.9. Along with some steel 12 point nuts.

Dropped the motor and trans for a cleanup and putting new parts on. Already deleted the AC and such. Will be painting the engine bay black, a full wire tuck, coil relocation, possible fuse box relocation. I really want to clean up and simplify the engine bay.

And some pics

Of course this is the first one

From Waukesha? Where abouts? That's where I'm from and miss being home.

Anyways, I lost my damn oil reservoir cap so I just ordered a damn breather from hawks.

Installed my SJM Line Lock, my Aeroforce Interceptor gauge and attempted to fix my vibration I get from 80 MPH to 120 MPH. Setting pinion angle is like witchcraft and black magic. Still getting a vibe.

Not a whole lot today. My D/D T/A had some light dust on it, so I gave her a wash with Optimum No Rinse, and cleaned up the interior a bit with some Blackfire products. Took it out for a cruise after that, got lots of stares, especially from the new guy that's been cruising my neighborhood lately with a Fox-body Mustang (he thinks it's a race car). He looked a bit freaked when I opened up the cutout at the stop sign and tossed a couple revs his way lol.

Right at the Gausthaus, eh? Right on the corner of Silvernail and Grandview by that Denny's.. Damn I miss home. This piece of **** state (Georgia) is driving me crazy. Hopefully I'll be home in August in time for state fair and what not. Can't wait.

Yea right in the huge back parking lot. On good nights there's around 200 cars there (or whatever fills the entire lot and some of the side street). We've had nights where it is 300-350+ where people just park in other parking lots and come over even if they have show cars. We usually go into Sept so come on over on a Wed when you are back. Bring the firechicken.

It would be nice if I could but I can't drive the 'bird all the way up there unfortunately. My newborn daughter can't tolerate the exhaust for long periods of time. The cost of gas would rape my wallet too. I'll probably swing by while I'm up there.

Replacing the Opti - Again (8th time!).

Before all you KIA's tell me the root of the problem is "improper installation" - here's a bit of additional info:

When I cut the adhesive-infused / weatherproof shrink wrap off the 4 pin connector on the top of the Opti, the plastic 4-pin connector was disintegrated (forgive me if I misspelled that) and the exposed 4 wires were covered in blue corrosion.

In other words, very poor materials = shortened useful life of a part.

Lol I figured that..

Well.. Yesterday I pulled the valve covers off and replaced the pushrods, rockers, and valve springs. Pulled off the headers and replaced the gaskets and tapped some of the bolt holes in the heads since they were pretty messed up. I was chasing a tick and now the tick is gone but now I got another "rattle" and what seems to be a bolt that got caught on the collector between the primary's making a nasty metal on metal noise. Also got a breather for the oil reservoir cap. Now It's ready to be sold.
