Got the WS6 back from the paint shop after he painted and installed the new roof panel that I prepped, and he repainted the paint flaking rear spoiler. He did a great job.

New set of GM Motive gears and TA cover with studs.

Of course the bearings all had to be replaced also - but all is running great!

Well.....went to install my new Konis up front after finishing the rear. Found a ball joint missing its boot. So I thought, what the hell....tore it all down and now it's also getting all new Moog bushings, ball joints, and tie rod ends.

Scored some G2 lowering springs from a fellow member and got them put on this weekend. The ride height is perfect, couldn't be happier!

The wheels are RPM 505's, 19x8.5 up front and 19x9.5 in the rear. The tires for the front are 245/35/19's and 275/35/19's for the rear.

^555's are a great tire, I had them on my car when it was on TT2's

kept hunting the elusive vacuum leak, think I have narrowed it down to a bad seal in the plumbing between the TB/maf/airlid. Gonna try a smoke test tonight maybe see if thats it.

If I find nothing im gonna chalk it up to my tune and keep pushing forward on other stuff so I can get it back on a dyno.

CHIRP, CHIRP, CHIRP.
replaced the alternator. bearing were chirping like a canary of steroids. took the alternator off and spun the pulley, span freely for about 30 seconds. was sloppy as all get out.

new alternator, and no chirping.

I had a dream last night that someone broke into my garage and stripped my car down the the bare shell..... It was very vivid. I woke up in the morning an had to go check in the garage to make sure my car was still good.
It was, so I took my kids for a ride on Father's Day....

i'll be removing the "NEW" alternator i put in last week. Volts were spiking, and it has a bearing knock. shelling out more $$ for an OEM new, not re-manufactured. Live and learn i guess.

A few years back, I had a dream someone stole the engine out of my Trans AM! So, I can relate on how you felt. Of course, my engine was right where it was supposed to be - once I checked on it in the morning.

Correct...I only buy GM OEM alternators for these cars, I had an aftermarket one fail latterly 1 month after it got installed. POS.

Replaced an idler pulley that was squeeling. Very high pitched and annoying. Also replaced the metal driver's side mirror mount that was broken but got was done yesterday. The previous owner tried to use a hot glue gun to fix it and he works in a garage. WTF!!???

It's nice to have a mirror that doesn't shake and make everything viewed in it a blur.

Detailed the engine bay. Probably the cleanest 3400 around.
