Got a new pile 'o parts for the ole gal. Now to find time for the install.

Also... on the way home from work yesterday, saw a guy drying his vette with a gas powered leaf blower.

They are the orange STR.T along with some Strano springs, alt relocation kit from CBR Performance and a Powermaster 58242 165 amp alt. I can only imagine how much better these are going to be since I am still stilling on the stock DeCarbons at 152K miles.

Ah, you're in exactly my boat then, i switched to STR.T's and Strano Springs at 150k off the stock setup and it felt (and still feels) like i was driving a race car...that somehow was harder and better riding than before all at the same time...and all the creaks from the rear end stopped too, haha

Nice! I am really looking forward to it. It just might be a couple months before I can schedule some time to make it happen. I'm already used to a pretty hard ride since the stock stuff is shot, lol. I also did most of my rear suspension about 2 and a half years ago. Put on Founders on car adjustable PHB (rod/rod), TA, LCA (poly/rod) and LCA relocation brackets.

Would you be able to post a side shot of your car, before & after the shocks & springs?

I'm curious how much they will lower your ride height?
Thanks.

Sure thing. I'm pretty good about documenting my mods, you can check out my car blog over at red2kta.com. Though now that I promised, I'll forget, lol.

I don't have any fitment issues with the TSP true duals, though I am not running a tunnel TA. You have to play with twisting the pipes here and there to get everything to tuck up nicely.

The X is what I have to play around with the most to make it all tuck up. As for the mounts... Once I got it tucked up good the first time, I held it in place with a floor jack. Then I marked where the mounts would be on the back of the rear seats, drilled holes and mounted with some bolts. One of these days I plan to getting around to welding in some more permanent mou print brackets.

Haha! I love the way they sound. Glad to hear you got it all buttoned up. Mine scrapes going in and out of my driveway as well unless I angle it just right. Though my driveway entrance sucks and is a big hump from the road into the driveway. I'm at stock height at the moment but just got in some strano springs I will be installing when I get some free time which will drop it a bit. It is most likely just the turn downs that are doing the scraping. You could twist them some so they are pointed more in or out and help that out some but I like them going down myself as it seems to acccent the thump of the cam when pointed right at the ground. The only time I've ever scraped during regular driving was with multiple passenger in the car with one of them being a pretty heavyset guy in the back and hitting a dip in the road. Here is a short video of mine with the true duals and a small cam.

Swapped out the stock steel hood for one that weighs a little less.

Broke, so paint will have to wait, but still better than the stock one.

Default 2002 Firebird V6

Learned from my Sons Firebird that the heater hose plastic elbows will eventually start leaking.

So on my daughters Bird we did a pre-emptive strike and changed them out with metal ones before they became and issue. She gets her learners permit next week and is excited about getting on the road.
