I am the 2nd owner of my 30th Anniversary T/A. Somehow, the original owner had managed to really mess up the factory blue wheels. The machined lips were highly corroded, the blue was almost completely gone and much of the clear coat was damaged. Today, I replaced the factory rims with aftermarket ZR-1 wheels. I like the look but I hope to be able to restore the originals someday.

Just finished up doing the "Big Three" Battery Cables. I went with the #2 wires from Innovative Wiring. The new cables weigh 2.5 lbs. more than stock. While I was in there, I replaced the stock starter with one that uses 2 long bolts, instead of the risky 1-long & 1-short bolt style.

Changed the battery tray. Man, such a pain in the butt since it's one piece with the coolant overfill and of course the new one didn't come with the little gasket... had to brake in half the old one in order to get that damn gasket and reuse it lol

Finally got the suspension overhaul finished this weekend. BMR springs, A-arms, LCA's, panhard bar, LS1 brakes, Koni STR-T shocks. Love the new look. and feel.

I'm trying to stay ahead of maintenance items before they break and leave me stranded. So I thought changing the 18 year old heater hoses would be a good idea. What a PITA! It looked simple, but I sure had a hard time getting them out. A lot of stuff had to be removed like the shock tower brace, starter solenoid wires, valve cover, oil catch can, and ignition coils and wires. The good news is that I bought one of those cable operated hose clamp pliers and it worked great! I can understand how some people will just cut out the old hoses and install two new plain rubber heater hoses. Now the car should be just a little bit more reliable for when my wife and I go cruisin with the car club.

They said it couldn't be done. I fit the truck intake under the stock hood of a 1968 pontiac firebird without moddifying anytjing. I think i can stick the vortec cover on the thing and it will fit. All i used was the holley LSX swap oil pan and Anchor adjustable LS swap mounts

Yesterday replaced the water pump. Today, swapped the back up camera for this one. The old one was being blinded by the tag light.

O, and an MGW

I removed the sylvania LED turn signal bulbs. They weren’t bright enough and had no change in brightness between DRL and parking lamp. I put the regular incandescent bulbs back in. I also started to vacuum the inside but it started to rain. Had to pull the ‘bird back in the garage. At least I cleaned the garage prior to pulling it back in. Lots of sand in half of the garage due to the winter driving from my other car.
