Default Removing Headlamp Doors

I would like to take these off and send them to a body shop for paint. Are they a pain to remove, and install back on properly? I hope that I wont run into any alignment issues once it's time to put them back on.

To take them off just take off the black plastic piece that lines the headlights. From there you will see 3 (I think) screws that hold the cover on. Putting them back on with good alignment is as simple as closing the hood, holding them where you want them, popping the hood and screwing them in.

So the headlamp bezel (black trim that goes around em) has to come off first?

That was my understanding. With the bezel off you can see the front mounting screws. I do not know if there are more...

It's really strait forward once the bezel is off, and the alignment to put them back on is a breeze. I used blue waking tape to hold them where i liked them. but its pretty easy.

Ok guys I'll give em a shot when I have some time. Do I need some special tools to remove the screws or just the standard stuff?

Just a standard phillips will work. If you have a magnetized one or if you can magentize one, it will make your life much easier.

Ok got the bezels off today. Piece of cake, three screws per side and they're off. I can see where the screws are for the headlamp doors as well.

I think I'm going to change out one of my low-beam lamps that has built up condensation over the years. They look pretty straight forward to replace as well unless there's something I'm not seeing?

You are just missing a tight fit with the wiring. Other than that, its an easy job.
