Whats wrong with Formulas?

Are you sure it's a true Formula? Keep in mind that all V8 Firebirds are titled as a Pontiac Firebird Formula. If it has to Trans Am package, it obviously a Trans Am but it will not say "Trans Am" anywhere on the title, or any VIN paperwork that a dealer/license bureau would run.

Well it has the formula hood. Take a look. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
And all non WS6 Firebirds have that hood including T/A's.

+1. It's a Trans Am. Things weren't adding up. Not saying people don't put TA bumpers and high rise spoilers on Formulas, but with so few Formulas and so many Trans Ams around it seems like you'd just buy a TA in the first place unless you got a KILLER DEAL on the Formula.
Still a kick *** deal for a 6 speed Trans Am. I'd scoop it up if possible. First mod is lose the rims.

100%, why would you think any different? Again, normal non-WS6 hood Trans Am. Trans Am isn't anything special and I doubt anyone would go through that much work to make a clone. Trans Am front bumper, rear bumper, wing, body kit, rear panel...nobody is going to do that and not the WS6 hood if they started with a Formula. Trans Am isn't worth anything more than a Formula, they are actually WAY more common and more likely to find. Not sure on 2001s, but there were just under 4000 2002 Trans Ams coupes, 1000 convertibles, 12000 WS6 Trans Am coupes, 2700 WS6 convertibles...so 19700 Trans Ams compared to 900 total Formulas.

Yes, it's a Trans Am. Can't tell by the VIN. You can tell by the RPO codes on the door though. Don't get fooled by the title of the ad. My Trans Am is titled as a "2000 Pontiac Firebird Formula" on all state and legal paperwork, title, registration, everything. The car in this ad is a Trans Am.

Note: The placement of the strobe lights on the front end of the car the high rise spoiler, the word Trans Am on the rear of the car and it probally says Trans Am on the doors.

I know you guys are discussing 98-02's but us lt's are people too! lol I'm glad I got a formula, more than one person driving have mistook me for a v6 bird, and figured out they didn't want to race. They have a sleeper look to them that I like. The only thing I like better about the t/a's is the front bumper, which I'm gonna switch out, not only that but I really want fog lights.
