Buying Trans Am? Not set on color.

Going to look at this T/A. I am going back and fourth on the color. sometimes I like it, sometimes not. I think Chrome wheels and some tint would make it 100% better.
In 1995 would this be considered Mystic Teal??
Thoughts????

No Mystic Teal for a 1995 Trans Am. Maybe the car was painted during it's 17 year life?? The only greens in 1995 for the Trans Am were Code 48 Dark Green Metallic and Code 79 Blue Green Chameleon. There is a Code 37 for Dark Aqua but I'm not sure what color spectrum that is.
His asking price is rather high IMO for an LT1 car with 134,000 miles. I hope you are going to look at it with a 'best offer'. With your plans for tinting and new wheels, you will be in too deep for a car like this that probably has several other needs. You know that the car will need things due to age and mileage. No getting around it. Be careful you don't overpay. A 'fair to good' condition '95 T/A as shown in the ad should sell in the $2,800- $3,500 area.

Yeah, I'm not going to pay 4,500, no way.
Finding these cars up here in MN is tough. They are real **** boxes or the people are so proud of them, they price themselves real high.
Must be Blue Green Chameleon on color.

That's def not a blue green chameleon t/a. I have a 95 BGC. I'd say it is dark aqua. That is way lighter than mine. It's a clean car though. Also if you don't love the color wait and find one you do love. It took me 2 years to find mine, but it was worth it!

^Agreed. The LS1 cars are all around better performers, and will run down 90% of the other cars on the road, bone stock. Mystic Teal is a nice color, but IMO that car isn't worth the cash. Just keep looking and a deal will pop up, mine was a steal at $6500, you're bound to find one like that at some point.

I also agree. I have a 93 corvette and it can't even compare to my 99 trans am. I looked for a while since I wasn't really needing another car and found my trans am for $5300 with 72000miles on it last year. Good car runs strong. And last month I traded a quad that was worth $3000 + an extra $400 for a 2000 Camaro with 76000 miles on it with a mildly built motor. Grant I had to put a fuel pump in it but that was cheap an easy. So keep looking if your not in a hurry an a good deal on an LS car will pop up.

I live in NC but actually bought my '99 out of MN on craigslist! The price was really better than anything else I found east of the Mississippi at the time. That was three years ago and times have changed, I just searched your CL and the prices are just not in line. LS1 all the way. IF you can get closer to $6K, you can get a car you will likely keep a lot longer. It is not local, but here is an example (although not an WS6) http://marshall.craigslist.org/cto/3232284209.html. Thanks for all the comments guys. That's why I like this place.
I did go and look at this car tonight. What a mess. It was dirty as hell first of all (come on, an $8 car wash goes a long way) but on the test drive, I made it about 20 feet and could start to hear the rear end howl. I went about 50 yards and turned around, I had seen/heard enough.
Looks like at this point I am going to save more money over the winter and search out an LS1 come spring.

You will not regret it. Chances are you have about 30 days to to drive it before it is time to store it. Keep your eyes open, keep your savings growing. The right opportunity will appear.
