A loudmouth 1 on a stock car sounds great, but once you do more mods the sound goes to crap, imo gmmg is the best sounding catback period,as far as cold air kits,a slp lid, free ram air mod and a performance airfilter will do just fine,if this is a car you are going to mod, cam, longtubes head etc and you want it somewhat tame a magnaflow /cutout cant be beat, best of both worlds

Pretty broad statement... a Flowmaster 1 chamber flows amazing and equals the performance in sound. I'd pick it ten times over most choices people go with.

I hope you aren't talking about "flowpack" or whatever that over priced garbage is called.
If it is an X pipe, it isn't straight pipe...

You can get a 4.5" tall (.5" taller than a 1 chamber FM) Borla Xr1 for roughly 130-135$ shipped. This is SS and brushed finish. The FMs are not SS but are 70$ shipped.

Sorry bout that lemons i got ahead of myself yet again

I ment striaght pipes or Xpipe, not that flow pack crap, like a ginuine X pipe that has nothing inside just a cross path for the flow

^Like that. i for some reason love those

My setup will be:
TSP 1 7/8" LT
Straight pipes
XR-1 for left and right
and corsa clones

all 3"

Go with a lid and bottom breathing ram air setup for the most hp...now the volant might give a hair more on the dyno (couple hp possibly) but when the car is moving it looses the ram air effect and gives up 15-20rwhp...

I have done some testing of this and ram air does work more than most tend to give it credit for

Hit me up if you have questions or search some of my old threads I created

Good luck on the modding

So after everyone's opinion I choose Volant as my CAI because of looks (lol) and the price. Can't beat $199.99 plus free shipping from Marylandspeed.com. Still thinking about either a Borla XR-1 or GMMG as my muffler setup.
