Best nest for her bird?
Bought the wife a 2000 Trans am. She fell in love with it at the car lot. Dont want to use as DD. Whats the best way to protect it? We dont have a garage but we do have a car port. Still not really a garage. Would a car cover due the trick? If so which would work out best?

Budge breathable water proof covers are great. Although, lookout for wind and cats. My roomies cat destroyed the cover and the car got soaked resulting in mold. So, I got rid of the cat, and repainted the car.

A car port is better than letting it sit out in the sun everyday.

As stated, a carport is better than nothing. Keeping the car clean, from undercarriage to the roof is key! Moisture is going to be your enemy. A quality car cover (California Car Covers) will be a must but you have to have a place to keep the cover clean when not in use. You can't throw it on the ground or store it poorly as you will just be placing a dirty or wet cover on the car. Quality won't help you there. With sun probably not being the issue for you in the carport, you want the Noah (wet, dew, rain) which runs about $250 or so. Your wife might like the fact that it comes in pink as one of the colors offered. Anything cheaper is a waste of time. Been there, done that in the past. Quality or forget it. I'm sure there are other brands that are good too but I just have personal knowledge of the above. Enjoy the new T/A!!

Congrats on the bird. Use the carport itll do fine. Dont waste your money on a car cover for an outside car, itll do more damage to your paint than letting a layer off dust collect over the week.
