Default stock ls1 guys, what temp does your car run with ac on?

This question is for stock or bolt on type cars with a totally stock cooling system.

With ac blasting in 90 plus temp, have you scanned your car to see what its at exactly?

Is 225 normal in traffic or stopped?

When my car was stock with stock settings 225 would be nornal. I remember seeing 235 read from pcm.

Now my car is modded and is a sob....

My 100% stock car's gauge always sits right in the middle and I know it can't be accurate. Once the car has warmed up the gauge shows the same whether it's 20 degrees outside or sitting in 90 degree Atlanta traffic. I've had the Dexcool changed out about 3 years ago, just due to age, and the new Dexcool did nothing to change the readings. What's the actual temp?? No idea.

There must have been bad gauges put into cars, because mine does a good bit of moving around telling me that it gives actual readings

Heres a little example of how bad the stock gauges are...My car had heating problems couple days ago. Stock gauge read just passed the half way mark while I read 242 from the pcm.

1998 was the only year that the water gauge read temp. From 99 on the water temp gauge was redesigned to work basically as a dummy gauge and only show an overheat condition.

Amdws6, are you reading your temp from a scan gauge or tuning software?
