Look at the pictures. They sent me all the docs the previous owner had and it's a one owner car. One of the pictures shows the sticker on the door with a 4/93 build date and the wrong vin.
What's up with that? Fake? Switched the VIN from one car to another? I asked and he said the pics got mixed up. That make sense?

lol as soon as i saw the price i exited out of the link. Dude for a 95 TA thats gonna cost you over 10k thats WAY to much! you can get an LS1 4th gen in great shape for that money hell you can get a LS1 4th gen in decent shape or good shape for less. unless you are dead set on a LT1 i wouldnt even think about getting this car. You can also get a Base C5 Vette for that money or just a little more. Keep searching you will find the right deal just gotta be willing to wait.

Looks like a legit firehawk by the pics and the mileage is super low. Sure you can get a newer LS car cheaper but if this is what your looking for and its a real firehawk, I don't think the price is too awful bad.

I hope you don't give up on the car. Mistakes do happen. Go there and see for yourself. This buying 'sight unseen' is insane, especially for a nearly 20 year old car. It could be great for $6,500 or horrible. Which is it? Drive it, see it, and find out.

The sticker is in the link I posted. If I don't buy this other car I am working on I will go look at it next weekend if it doesn't sell. I'm short staffed this week and I can't make it down there. I had them fax me all the docs in the binder the customer gave them (every oil change), had some cooling issues and a leaky manifold, doesn't look like the manifold was repaired. That's why he probably traded it in.
I'm not set on this one 100%. I usually get lucky when I least expect it. That's how I found the 79 T/A 6.6 I had. Bought it cheap drove it for a couple years sold it and made $1000. It'd be nice to do that every time I bought a car that's why I look for the most desirable combination and buy the cheapest one. Clean it up drive it and sell it. Mostly I lose money but I guess that's part of the game.
I have the window and SLP sticker. It's a cloth, 1sc, non t-top, base firehawk. No SLP options. I thought it had an aftermarket exhaust but that's the base SLP exhaust. No modifications either. I hope whoever gets it keeps it that way too. It would be a shame to start modding this car.

Yup. I live north of Chicago and I don't have the time to go there and drive it till next weekend. But I am looking at a couple other cars in the meantime that are local. Looks like a nice original car and the fact it doesn't have T-tops and the sticker is what kept me from buying it. The sticker was the deal breaker. If it's still there next Saturday I might take a road trip to look at it. But the last time I did that for a car I ended up contacting the Michigan states attorney about the dealer I made the deal on the car with. I made a deal on a low mileage CTS-V about 6 years ago and it was a too good to be true deal. When I got there a $500 advertising fee was added to the price, they took my keys and I got them back as soon as I turned my back they yanked my plates off my car so I couldn't leave......Sundance Chevrolet. Caveat emptor.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for 2 reasons.
1) I work in the back end of a (GM thank God) dealer, and half of our guys can't read a VIN, much less a salesman with a disposable job.
2) Since I've been looking a LS fourth-gen, myself, I've run into many cars where the owner didn't know the year. Working in parts, people SAY one thing, I'd listen to the VIN.
If you're truly serious about it, get them to e-mail you a picture of the VIN plate and title to the car.
