Haha, yeah was just outside messing with it and saw that boot and remembered a friend's 240sx had manually raise on it. So that's what I did also.
I located the 5 wire harness underneath and I believe found the 2 that run to the motor. Going look for my volt meter. I'll post up my findings once I take some readings.
Thanks again,
Matt

Finally found the volt meter. Well I started the car and turned on my lights and brought my car around inside the shop at work. I turn the car and lights off and get out to go grab the meter... I turn and look and both my headlights are now down. Needless to say I was confused at this point, because I had the passenger light "manually up."
So, I go turn the switch for the headlights to turn on and they both pop up...I'm happy that they're up and all, but what's the issue causing this now?
Pinched wire or is the motor on the verge of going out?
Thanks,
Matt

I had a dim headlight and a non working drivers side light door not opening. I traced the problem back to the harness and when I tried cleaning the corrosion, the far left female connector broke in half. I have no Idea what to do as I can not find a fix for this
Also the harness underneath the headlight tends to develop corrosion over time, check this if you experience a dim light (bad ground), or the headlight occasionally won't go up or down or, no power to the headlight/motor at all.

argh....I tried to FREE fix today, worked great first couple of turns but now my headlight is grinding again, because the light itself doesn't lift all the way, it almost does but not fully and grinds again....not to mention the T/A ate my 10mm wrench! god knows where its at....
The linkage or the revolving arm doesn't go right, I dunno... I went ahead and bought some of those gears from that link, brent or somebody...

OK guys, after having the Eurolights housings for a few months, I decided, even with the 100 watt lamps I put in them, they just plain suck. I’m sorry I wasted money and time on them. While the boxes they came in were marked 4703 and 4701, they are clearly the same housing. The H7 lamps are shaded tip only meaning there’s no true hi beam. Even the furnished adapter wires sucked. These fixtures provided just a blob of light with no cutoff point whatsoever. Pass on these, they’re garbage.
I went to LMC Truck Parts and got their 36-0302 and 36-0303 Euro style headlights. These arrived with 9005 and 9006 lamps. These things are beautiful. Each one even has cast in the backside "high beam" or "low beam". After installation, the light was great. Sharp, defined cutoff lines, great white light, just what I wanted. And this is with the 60 watt lamps they came with. Jeeze, even the bulb pigtails matched the car's color coding.
A note about LMC: The person taking my order got a few things wrong and I had to repeat everything two or three times to her. Despite reading back to me the correct address, it went to the wrong address. When asked what kind of truck I had, I replied "1999 Pontiac Trans Am". She thought it was a Honda model!! Then she told me it wouldn’t fit. Wade through this and go get your true high performance lights fellers. Definitely worth the money.
