My first Firebird was a 1987 Trans Am with the 305 TPI engine, T-Tops and an automatic transmission. It was a navy blue color with silver trim. My second was a 2002 Firehawk Trans Am. I got out of the Firebird game for a while after that. Sometime later I got a black 1987 Trans Am with an LG4 engine. Then a 1985 305 TPI car, and my final Firebird was a Jamaica Yellow 1992 Formula Firebird. One of 43 ever built. It was a 305 TPI 5speed car with T-Tops. Unfortunately, I sold it as I was out of garage space and had too many cars and projects.
I have pretty much exclusively bought and driven Mustangs until about 8 years ago when I bought a 2001 Camaro SS that I've slowly been working on. I plan on getting a nice lower mileage Trans Am sometime next year when I can sell this house and move. I'll probably be looking for a 99-02 Trans Am, possibly another Firehawk.
1997 Firebird Formula A4 (owned since new Dec 96)....just a few bolt-ons. Moroso CAI, Hypertech air charger, HPP+ w/160* powerstat, 1LE elbow, Relocated IAT sensor, Spintech muffler, Hotchkis chrome strut tower brace, Custom Kenwood stereo with a 12" JL sub

Also have a 2006 GTO which I picked up 12 years ago
Looks nice, did you shave the rear panel speaker grilles??
Thanks! I didn't have the Monsoon system so I never had speakers in the hatch. I did have a CD changer installed through that panel way back and have since sourced another non-Monsoon panel.
I'll admit the pic does look like I shaved the grille (I tried to edit out the changer for that pic).
so the 93-97 body style had no rear speaker grilles unless the Monsoon option was added? When I added my system (also have the milhouse box) I took those speakers out but the grilles are still there. I wanted to get rid of them and wrap the rest of the interior in Leather like my console and door panels..... those panels would make it much easier.

That's correct - base system, no hatch speakers. The "premium" and Monsoon systems had them.
I kinda like your idea since these panels are not that easy to find.
My first is my current. My uncle bought it new off the lot in September of '93 then gifted it to me when I graduated high school in 2004. I've been driving it since '01 though, even took my driver's test in it.
I owned a 1994 LT1 Trans Am, hence still my user name here at LS1Tech, then I bought a 1999 LS1 Trans Am, which I still currently have. At one point I had both, would've loved to keep them both but being so similar inside and out, I wasn't driving the LT1 anymore, so I sold it.
